Social Media Commenting Guidelines
The purpose of the Galena Park Independent School District's social media pages is to foster ongoing discussions about educational issues and successes. We welcome your comments, ideas, and concerns, as they are vital for ensuring that a diverse range of community members are engaged and informed participants in these discussions.
Galena Park ISD reserves the right to modify this policy at any time and retains the right to remove comments at its discretion. We expect all participants to treat each other, as well as our district, employees, and students, with respect. Comments may be removed if they fall into any of the following categories:
- Contain vulgar or abusive language, personal attacks, or offensive terms that target specific ethnic or racial groups.
- Promote services or products (non-commercial links relevant to the topic are acceptable).
- Are clearly off-topic or considered spam.
- Contain unsupported accusations.
- Reference employees or students by name.
Objectionable content will be deleted and not edited, so please ensure your comments do not contain any of the above.
To protect your privacy and the privacy of others, please refrain from including personally identifiable information, such as Social Security numbers, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses in your comments.
Questions submitted to Galena Park ISD may not always receive a response on the social media page. If you have a question, please contact the Communications Department at communications@galenaparkisd.com.
