Celebration Notice

The Galena Park ISD Communications Department provides current staff members the opportunity to share information about celebratory events. In an effort to share this information accurately and respectfully, we have established a few guidelines for submitting this information to share with colleagues. Please take a moment to read through the guidelines prior to submitting the Celebration Notice Request. Please wait until you have all required information before submitting your request.

Gather the following information PRIOR to submitting your Celebration Notice Request:

* Documentation of the recent event.

* A photo directly related to the celebration - no group or family photos should be submitted (with the exception of 2 parents and child(ren) on birth announcements).

District-Wide Celebration Notices
Only the following notices will be shared district-wide through the District Family News email group:

* Announcement of celebrations concerning current employees (i.e. marriage, birth of a child, & graduation/educational completion)

Campus-Only Celebration Notices

* If the celebration notice does not meet the district-wide distribution criteria, the request will be routed by the Communications Department to the designated campus key communicator. The key communicator will work with the campus principal to review any notice requests and determine how the information will be distributed.

* Principals have discretion to determine which celebration notices are appropriate to share with campus staff through the campus intranet email group.
