Early Childhood
Welcome to Pre-K
Galena Park Independent School District’s Early Childhood Department is committed to creating meaningful experiences for all Pre-Kindergarten students.
Pre-K marks an exciting first step in your child’s learning journey! Enrolling in Pre-K helps children develop essential skills such as early reading, expanded vocabulary, and readiness for kindergarten.
Attending high quality Pre-K makes a big difference for small children. Children who go to high-quality 3- and 4-year-old Pre-K enter school ready to learn and be successful, confident learners. High-quality Pre-K provides a learning environment that inspires curiosity, builds confidence, and fosters a love of learning.
The benefits extend well beyond the classroom. Research shows that children who attend Pre-K are more likely to thrive academically and in life, gaining valuable skills that support their long-term success.
