The Mission of the Student Nutrition Services Department of Galena Park ISD is to provide service excellence that focuses on preparing students to be lifelong learners by serving them quality, nutritious meals prepared by trained personnel.

Did you know?
- Galena Park ISD Student Nutrition Department operates the following programs: School Breakfast Program, School Lunch Program, Afterschool Snack and At-Risk Supper Programs, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, and Summer Feeding Program.
- We are self-funded and do not receive funds from local property taxes. We receive federal reimbursement and earn revenue for all our departmental expenses.
- Our At-Risk Supper Program and Summer Feeding Program provide free meals for all children under the age of 18 years old.
- Our Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program is available at selected campuses by invitation from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). Only schools that meet program qualifications will receive an invitation to participate.
