Welcome to the Galena Park ISD PEIMS Webpage

Welcome to the Galena Park ISD PEIMS (Public Education Information Management System) webpage. PEIMS is the statewide data collection system used to gather student, staff, financial, and organizational information from school districts and education service centers. Our PEIMS team is dedicated to collecting, communicating, and maintaining this information with a focus on accuracy and integrity so the district can meet reporting, accountability, and funding requirements.

Our mission is to ensure accurate collection and reporting of PEIMS data in compliance with applicable state guidance and TEA requirements. We strive to submit timely, error‑free data while clearly communicating deadlines and requirements to all district departments and campuses. By doing so, we support Galena Park ISD’s compliance, funding accuracy, and data‑driven decision-making.

Goals that guide our work include: ensuring data quality through established procedures aligned with PEIMS Data Standards and attendance guidance; providing staff training and clear guidance on PEIMS coding and common issues; supporting data verification by generating and sharing TSDS/PEIMS reports for campus and district review; and maintaining strict compliance with TEA, state, federal, and district policies. These efforts help reduce errors and streamline the reporting process across the district.

PEIMS data supports both accountability and funding. Accountability uses include Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) measures, Performance‑Based Monitor (PBM) reviews, the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas, and various compliance measures. Funding sources include allocations through the Foundation School Program, Title programs, school lunch reimbursements, special education funding, and grant program eligibility. If you need assistance, training, or access to PEIMS reports, please contact the PEIMS Department.
