Shared Residency
What is a Shared Residency Application?
A parent who cannot produce proof of address in the form of a utility bill or a lease agreement under their name, or who resides with a friend or family member, must complete a Shared Residency Application. The application must have the required documentation to be accepted. Once processed, a notification will be sent to families via email.
Before submitting an online Shared Residency Application, parents must have the following documentation ready to attach:
- Parent/Guardian Driver's License/Passport/ID
- Homeowner/Landlord Driver's License/Passport/ID
- Current Proof of Address (within 30 days)
- A utility bill (light, water, or gas bill)
- A lease agreement (signatures included)
GPISD students enrolled in a Shared Residency are encouraged to renew their 2026-2027 applications during the designated application window. Failure to submit a renewal application will result in the student having incomplete documentation for the 2026-2027 school year.
