Welcome, families and community members. The Federal Programs at Galena Park ISD manages and monitors federal and special‑revenue funds to ensure they are used effectively, equitably, and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and district policies.
Our Mission
- To ensure every district activity supported by federal or special revenue aligns with the intent of the funding source and meets all compliance requirements.
- To maximize federal resources so they directly support student achievement, teacher excellence, and college‑and‑career readiness for every GPISD student.
Why Federal Funding Matters: Public school districts receive federal funds that supplement state and local resources. These funds enable Galena Park ISD to provide targeted programs and services that support academic growth, teacher development, and student success. All GPISD campuses are Title I schools, and federal investments help ensure equitable opportunities for our students.
Programs We Administer
- Title I, Part A — Improving Basic Programs (academic support and resources for schools)
- Title II, Part A — Teacher and Principal Training and Recruitment Fund
- Title III, Part A — English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement, and Academic Achievement
- Title IV, Part A — Student Support and Academic Enrichment
- Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education
- State Compensatory Education
For questions about program services, eligibility, funding use, or family engagement opportunities, please contact the Federal Programs Department. We welcome partnerships with parents and the community as we work together to support every student’s path to success.
