The Galena Park ISD Tax Office will be closing at 2pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 and will remain closed for Juneteenth Holiday, Thursday, June 19. 2025.

Tax Office Notices
Effective June 1, 2018, Galena Park ISD entered into a partnership with Goose Creek CISD to consolidate tax collection services in an effort to reduce operational costs for the taxpayers of Galena Park I.S.D.
What does this mean for GPISD taxpayers?
Included in the partnership is the consolidation of the printing and mailing of tax bills by the Goose Creek CISD Tax Office which further assists with cost savings. While your bill may appear to be coming from Goose Creek CISD, tax collections related to any property located within the Galena Park I.S.D. boundaries are used solely for the education of students attending Galena Park ISD
Taxpayers may continue to make tax payments in person at the Galena Park ISD Tax office located at 14705 Woodforest Blvd, Houston. Additionally, tax payments will be collected at the Goose Creek CISD Tax Office located at 607 W. Baker Rd., Baytown (next door to the Harris County Tax Office Annex Building). There is a night drop payment box on the front of the building. For your convenience, online or payments by mail will also be accepted. Each year mortgage companies send their requests to receive statements for taxpayers that have an escrow account with them. After our transition with GCCISD tax services, all mortgage companies were notified of the change. Although that notice was sent out, not all mortgage companies sent in their requests asking for the statements to be sent to them. If you received a tax statement this year that would normally be sent to your mortgage company, please inform them of the tax statement received.

On behalf of over 21,000 students of the Galena Park Independent School District, we thank you, as a taxpayer, for your assistance in helping Galena Park ISD achieve its mission to prepare students to become productive citizens and lifelong learners. We thank you for your continued support of Galena Park I.S.D. and for the benefits that support provides our students, staff and school community.
The current tax rate for 2024 is $1.17191 per $100 of assessed value. (M&O = $0.83760, I&S = $0.33431).
