The Galena Park ISD Education Foundation has been established to enrich, enhance, and maximize the educational programs for both students and staff of the Galena Park Independent School District. The Foundation was created in 1998 by Dr. Shirley J. Neeley, Superintendent of Schools, and GPISD administrators to provide funds for educational programs and activities that were either unfunded or underfunded by the regular operating budget. These funds are used to facilitate student achievement and skill development, recognize and encourage staff excellence, and expand community involvement of individuals, businesses, and civic organizations.
We believe there is a strong correlation between the quality of life in our community and the quality of its educational system. Our vision is to enhance education in GPISD by increasing private support for academic activities. The Galena Park ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every donation helps improve education for Galena Park ISD students.
The mission of the Galena Park ISD Education Foundation is to generate and allocate resources on behalf, and for the benefit of the students and staff of the Galena Park Independent School District in a manner that significantly enhances the classroom learning experience, facilitates continued educational opportunities through scholarship support, and enables the Foundation to sustain its financial ability to continue its mission in the future.
