Internal Campus Transfer Requests

Welcome to the Internal Campus Transfer Request Hub. This page provides campus employees with important information, dates, eligibility guidelines and specific instructions for submitting a transfer request to a different campus for the following school year.

Please Note:

The transfer request process is only open for a limited time each spring semester.
Transfer requests are for lateral moves only. To be considered for a different position, you must complete an application directly through the Job Openings link on the GPISD Employment webpage.
Transfer requests are not guaranteed. Requests are subject to vacancies and campus needs as determined by the receiving campus principal.

Eligibility

Be in good standing (not on a growth/intervention plan at the time of submitting request)
Meet all certification or other requirements for the requested position.
Not be under investigation or had prior substantiated allegations resulting from an investigation for a violation of the Code of Ethics or Board Policy during the current school year.
Must not have been notified that he/she will not receive a contract or letter of reasonable assurance for the following school year.

Steps for Requesting a Transfer

Notification - Discuss your intent to submit a transfer request to a different campus with your current principal or direct supervisor.
Submit Transfer Request - Complete the online transfer request through your Employee Service Center in Frontline before the deadline.
Transfer Pool - Once your request is submitted, your name and information will be added to the pool of transfer candidates.
Selection - Principals will have access to the transfer pool applicants and contact any applicant of interest.
Approval - Final approval of a transfer request is subject to campus recommendation and HR approval. You will be notified if/when approval of the request is granted.
