Q: When is payday?
A: All employees are paid on the 15^th and the last day of each month. If either date falls on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, the previous Friday becomes payday. Please reference the Payroll Calendar for all direct deposit and check dates for the school year.

Q: How can I view my check stubs?
A: Check stubs can be viewed by accessing the Employee Service Center or Substitute Management Center.

Q: How do I sign up for direct deposit?
A: Complete the Direct Deposit Authorization form and submit the signed original to the Payroll Services Department.

Q: How do I make changes to my employee withholding allowances?
A: Complete the W-4 form and submit the signed original to the Payroll Services Department.

Q: How do I request copies of current and/or prior year W-2’s?
A: Complete the Request for IRS Form W-2 form and submit the signed original to the Payroll Services Department.

Q: How do I change my personal information (i.e., address, last name, marital status, etc.)?
A: Complete the Change/Correction of General Information form and submit the signed original to the Payroll Services Department.

Q: What is the difference between state and local leave?
A: State leave is transferable in the state of Texas upon resignation or termination, whereas local leave is not. Local leave is paid by GPISD upon retirement, whereas State leave is not.

Q: How many state and local leave days will I receive?
A: Each employee will receive five workdays of state leave per year. All employees in positions normally requiring ten months of service shall earn an additional five equivalent workdays of local leave per school year. Employees in positions normally requiring 11 months of service shall earn an additional six equivalent workdays of local leave per school year, and employees in positions normally requiring 12 months of service shall earn an additional seven equivalent workdays of local leave per school year.
