Cloverleaf Elementary's Communities in Schools Program
Cloverleaf Elementary is now hosting a Communities In Schools before and after school program.
The Communities In Schools After-school Centers on Education (CIS-ACE) program offers an opportunity for students in grades 2nd – 5th at select schools to continue to learn new skills and discover new abilities between the hours of 7:50 am to 8:50 am and 4:25 pm to 6:25 pm after the normal school day has ended. The program is free to qualifying participants with a focus on providing expanded academic enrichment opportunities such as:
Tutorial services and homework assistance to help children meet state and local academic achievement standards in core subjects such as reading, mathematics, science and social studies.
A broad array of additional services, programs and activities including youth development, fine arts, technology, recreation, physical education, health, wellness and nutrition programs, as well as educational programs that are designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program. Our CIS-ACE program instills curiosity and excites learners to become even more resourceful so that they will continue to learn outside the normal school day.
Offering families of students served by CIS-ACE opportunities for literacy, parenting and related development programs; exposure to civic and community service projects; and an opportunity to participate in their children’s academic and social development.
