  • Volleyball Update - GPHS vs Baytown Lee

    The varsity team started slow losing the first set 12-25, but found momentum in the second set until the final few points losing 20-25. The third set was also 20-25 but Lee controlled the set from the first serve. Alexa Quiroga led in kills with 6 and Aniya Eason was the player of the match.

  • Volleyball Updates - Woodland Acres vs C.E. King

    The Black team played a thrilling three set match that the Hornets squeaked a victory from at the end. After playing a commanding first set winning 25-7, the Lady Hornets fell into their mad habits in the second losing 15-25 forcing a third set. The Hornets played a conservative third set forcing them to come from behind to win 16-14. Evelynn Tobias played a great all-around match while Andrea Correas served amazing throughout.

  • Football Update - GPHS vs New Caney

    The freshmen Yellowjackets traveled to New Caney on October 3rd and lost a tough game 0-22. Ivan Reyes stood out with a great hustle play and Jonathan Gutierrez ran the ball hard for the Yellowjackets. The offensive line made improvements in the blocking schemes and the defensive did manage to make two big fourth down stops. Top performers were Jonathan Gutierrez, Alex Sims, and Jorge Garcia.

  • Football Updates - Woodland Acres Middle vs C.E. King

    The Gold team lost 6-26 after a strong start on defense led by Jayden Cantu and Mauricio Bermudez. The game was back and forth early with Jesus Banda powering down the field from the back field. Jesus scored the only touchdown right before halftime. The Hornets fought but couldn’t maintain the intensity throughout the game.

  • Additional Security Measures

    Middle school and elementary school students will only be allowed entry into the stadium with an accompanying adult. Students will still be allowed to sit in student sections together, as long as this does not result in any type of disruptive behavior. We thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to maintain a safe and secure environment at the Galena Park ISD stadium while cheering on our students.

This commitment extends beyond our campus sites to include other district venues and facilities. Please expect enhanced security procedures at the Galena Park ISD stadium and other district events this coming year. While many may consider these enforcements insignificant, inconvenient or unnecessary, each procedure contributes to the overall safety and security of the facility and event.
