    The Galena Park I.S.D. Student Admissions Department will begin early registration for all new kindergarten and eligible pre-kindergarten student for the 2024-2025 school year. You may register online or there will be registration support sites available on specific days. El Departamento de Admisiones Estudiantiles del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Galena Park iniciará el proceso de inscripción anticipada para los estudiantes nuevos de jardín de infantes y prejardín de infantes elegibles para el curso 2024-2025.   • Bus Wifi Placement

    In continuing with Galena Park ISD tradition of “Whatever It Takes” to support our children and give them the very best opportunities for success. GPISD has developed and implemented two very important programs to support the students during this unusual time, a WiFi Bus system and a Meal Distribution plan. The WiFi bus system includes 20 strategically placed buses with mobile WiFi hotspots for students to log on and complete their school work. These buses will be air conditioned for the students and parents who would like to attend with their child. Each bus will follow proper social distancing protocols, wear masks, and is also equipped with hand sanitizer for use.

Sign up as early as possible in order to start picking up produce and to get the most out of our program throughout the year.     Galena Park I.S.D.'s Mental Health Intervention Team is offering a six-week New Beginnings Support Group for students, parents, or staff in need of a safe, supportive environment to share and cope with their feelings associated with the COVID-19 pandemic or any other life stressors. Participation in the group is free of charge and open to GPISD students, parents, and staff.

  • GPISD Announces Full-Day Pre-Kindergarten

    To increase your child’s readiness for kindergarten, Galena Park I.S.D. will begin to offer a full-day Pre-Kindergarten program for 4 year-old students at all campuses. A half day program is also offered for 3 year-old students at select campuses.
