GPISD Offers New STEM Academies
In an effort to provide choice for students, we are excited to announce the 2023-2024 school year will be the inaugural year of GPISD’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Academies (STEM), located at Havard Elementary and Galena Park Elementary Schools. These Academies will continue to provide excellent academics while giving students opportunities for extended learning in science, technology, engineering, and math. Removal of Unauthorized/Disruptive Persons
As of August 26, 2018 all school districts are subject to the Commissioner’s new rules regarding the removal of a disruptive person from a campus. More information regarding this new rule can be found in Chapter 37, section 37.105 of the Texas Education Code, which addresses: Unauthorized Persons, Refusal of Entry, Ejection, and Identification.

Galena Park ISD regularly provides mass notifications to parents, guardians, students, and faculty regarding weather closures, threat situations, event scheduling, or to provide other important education-related information. STAAR Assessment Portal

STAAR scores are now available in the Texas Assessment Data Portal. STAAR Scores Portal
Once in the site, enter your child's Access Code and Date of Birth. Then click GO.
If you do not know your child's Access Code, click LOOKUP ACCESS CODE. You will then enter your child's first name, PEIMS number (social security number or state ID number), Date of Birth, and then click GO. When the Access Code appears (you may be asked to enter the date of birth again) click GO.
Your child passed the STAAR test if they received Approaches, Meets, or Masters grade level.
