  • GPISD Summer Camp Registration

    Galena Park ISD will once again be offering summer camps for GPISD students who are currently in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Registration begins on Monday, March 25th. Don’t delay as registration for summer camps ends April 14th.

  • Houston Pre-Engineering Program (Houston Prep)

    The Houston Pre-Engineering Program (Houston Prep) held at the University of Houston – Downtown is currently accepting applications. The program is a FREE summer opportunity for students to experience activities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The students will receive FREE breakfast and lunch while in the program. Galena Park ISD also provides daily transportation to and from each middle school to the university. The program will be held for six weeks from June 10th – July 19th from 8:30 am. – 2:30 pm. The deadline to apply is April 1st. The application information is attached.

    We are pleased to inform you the Galena Park Independent School District will be implementing a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) during the 2018-2019 school year.

    Middle school and elementary school students will only be allowed entry into the stadium with an accompanying adult. Students will still be allowed to sit in student sections together, as long as this does not result in any type of disruptive behavior. We thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to maintain a safe and secure environment at the Galena Park ISD stadium while cheering on our students.

  • Removal of Unauthorized/Disruptive Persons

    As of August 26, 2018 all school districts are subject to the Commissioner’s new rules regarding the removal of a disruptive person from a campus. More information regarding this new rule can be found in Chapter 37, section 37.105 of the Texas Education Code, which addresses: Unauthorized Persons, Refusal of Entry, Ejection, and Identification.
