Volunteer Information for Parents / Información voluntaria para padres
We enjoy having visitors and volunteers in our schools and invite parents to be actively involved in our classrooms. District schools depend on volunteers and value their contributions. We care about the safety of staff and children, so all volunteers must apply and be approved before they can begin their volunteer service. If you would like to become a parent volunteer, you will need to complete the GPISD Criminal History Review Permission Form

Chromebook Fees
NSMS Parents/Guardians, Chromebook Health Checks will be conducted throughout the school year to check for damages. If a fine is assessed to your child’s account, you will be notified. Payments are accepted online at https://galenaparkisd.revtrak.net/. Please email your receipt to amaramirez@galenaparkisd.com so that a replacement Chromebook can be issued.

Pre-K and Kindergarten Early Registration
The Galena Park I.S.D. Student Admissions Department will begin early registration for all new kindergarten and eligible pre-kindergarten student for the 2021-2022 school year. You may register online or there will be registration support sites available on specific days.

Removal of Unauthorized/Disruptive Persons
As of August 26, 2018 all school districts are subject to the Commissioner’s new rules regarding the removal of a disruptive person from a campus. More information regarding this new rule can be found in Chapter 37, section 37.105 of the Texas Education Code, which addresses: Unauthorized Persons, Refusal of Entry, Ejection, and Identification.

Galena Park ISD regularly provides mass notifications to parents, guardians, students, and faculty regarding weather closures, threat situations, event scheduling, or to provide other important education-related information. Vision
The vision of NSMS is to prepare and lead the students of NSMS to be ready to enter high school with the skills needed to graduate in four years through rigorous instruction, and by offering classes where students can earn high school credit towards their graduation requirements while in middle school.
