    Plans are underway to welcome our students and staff back to school for the 2020-2021 school year! Please check this webpage often to keep updated on the latest news and plans for reopening our schools and to become familiar with the options presented to parents/guardians for their child(ren)s' educational settings for the 2020-2021 school year. Please note, however, that Reopening Plans are subject to change in order to remain in compliance with ever-changing guidance from our local and state officials, the Harris County Public Health Department (HCPH), the Texas Education Agency (TEA), and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

  • GPISD Expands Curbside Meals to Provide for Weekend

    To provide additinoal support to our families during this time, we are proud to announce that every Friday Galena Park I.S.D. will provide our students with food for the weekend! Beginning Friday, March 27, 2020, students who pick up their lunch from a curbside meal location will also receive breakfast and lunch for Saturday and Sunday.

  • Frequently Asked Questions & Important Information Regarding COVID-19

    Galena Park I.S.D. continues to follow the guidance and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Harris County Public Health Department and Harris County Office of Emergency Management concerning the recent news of the novel (new) coronavirus disease.   • CTE Early College High School Enrollment Application

    The Galena Park I.S.D. CTE Early College High School is accepting applications for students interested in enrolling for the 2020-2021 school year. Remember students must reside in the Galena Park I.S.D. boundaries and not be a current transfer from another district. Please email for more information.

  • Removal of Unauthorized/Disruptive Persons

    As of August 26, 2018 all school districts are subject to the Commissioner’s new rules regarding the removal of a disruptive person from a campus. More information regarding this new rule can be found in Chapter 37, section 37.105 of the Texas Education Code, which addresses: Unauthorized Persons, Refusal of Entry, Ejection, and Identification.

    Galena Park ISD regularly provides mass notifications to parents, guardians, students, and faculty regarding weather closures, threat situations, event scheduling, or to provide other important education-related information. These messages not only drive positive educational outcomes, they can also save lives.

    To help develop each student to be emotionally, mentally, morally, physically and socially prepared to take his/her place in an ever-changing society.

  • Vision

    The vision of NSMS is to prepare and lead the students of NSMS to be ready to enter high school with the skills needed to graduate in four years through rigorous instruction, and by offering classes where students can earn high school credit towards their graduation requirements while in middle school.
