San Jac Promise Scholarship
Seniors living in San Jacinto College’s taxing district, qualify for the Promise @ San Jac Scholarship. They’ll cover your 1st associate degree or certificate (tuition, books, and supplies) 100% for a 3-year period for full-time attendance! This means less stress for you and a debt-free start on your future.
To receive the Promise Scholarship, you must:
- Sign your pledge
- Apply to San Jac using ApplyTexas
- Apply for FAFSA
- Register for classes (must attend full-time)

FAFSA - The U.S. Department of Education's Office of Federal Student Aid provides more than $120 billion in financial aid to help pay for college or career schools each year. Use the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form to apply for financial aid for college or graduate school. Completing the FAFSA form is free. Seniors...applications open December 2023!

TASFA - TASFA stands for the Texas Application for State Financial Aid. It’s meant for students who are ineligible for federal aid through FAFSA® who are Texas residents and went to high school for at least three years in the state. These include, but are not limited to, foreign nationals, legal permanent residents, and eligible non-citizens. You can only apply for either FAFSA or TASFA, not both.
