The focus of our Purchasing Department is to facilitate in the acquisition of goods and services in accordance with state and federal law to meet the needs of our campuses and departments. It is the goal of the Purchasing Department to assist you in making your purchases and receiving your goods as efficiently and expeditiously as possible.
eBid - Online Electronic Bidding System
GPISD Purchasing Department is implementing an online electronic bidding system called eBid for our bids. It is a user-friendly application that allows the vendor/supplier to register in the online system and receive the most up-to-date information via email notifications of future procurement opportunities in the categories selected by the vendor/supplier. The new system will streamline the bidding process, notify potential vendors via email immediately upon the issuance of new solicitations, reduce the number of vendor forms required to become a vendor, and allow bid responses to be made and submitted online. We encourage and recommend that vendors/suppliers register in our new online electronic bidding system. Registration in eBid does not automatically create an approved vendor, but it will keep vendors apprised of bid events that match their goods and services. Although registration is not required to do business with Galena Park ISD, the district will be migrating all future solicitations to the platform.
